Dr. James Can Help You Get Certified Easily

Dr. James has helped dozens of patients get certified for medical marijuana in Colorado. She's familiar with the process and can help you too! Review the requirements listed below, then follow the steps listed to get started!

Requirements

A Qualifying Disabling Condition

You must have an approved condition as determined by the Colorado Department of Health. Dr. James can evaluate you for:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • A medical condition previously treated with an opioid prescription
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSS)

Proper Identification

You will also need an ID card or driver's license issued by the state of Colorado, as well as a Social Security Card.

Proper Documentation

Dr. James will need to review your medical records regarding your qualifying condition. Your Primary Care Provider will need to send those and the referral to Dr. James.

Certification Steps

Step 1: Start Your Application

Your first step in getting certified for medical marijuana in the state of Colorado is to create your account with the Colorado Department of Health Medical Marijuana Registry. This is also where you will download your digital ID card once you've gotten certified.

Step 2: Create Your Dr. Green Colorado Account

In order to facilitate HIPAA requirements and ensure your data is stored securely, all patients are required to create an account on our website.

Step 3: Meet with Dr. James

Schedule your appointment with Dr. James so you can meet with her to review your medical documentation and confirm your requirement for medical marijuana. Be sure to bring your state ID card and social security card with you.

Once Dr. James confirms your eligibility, your certification will be processed during your visit.

Step 4: Collect Your Digital ID Card

A few days after your appointment with Dr. James, you should get an email from the state letting you know your ID card is ready.

All you'll have to do is pay the cardholder fee and download your card. You can do this from your account on the Colorado Department of Health Medical Marijuana Registry.
